The paper replaces the Glaswegian in serving Scotland’s largest city and follows the recent launches of Aberdeen Now and Edinburgh Now.
Media Scotland editor in chief Allan Rennie said: “Today marks another major milestone in the company’s development.
“Glasgow Now takes the best of the Glaswegian and combines it with the best of our other city titles.
“It has a contemporary, bold design and will be championing the city and the extraordinary people who live here.”
The launch also allows advertisers to be offered a comprehensive package across Scotland’s three largest cities.
Helena Morrow, commercial manager, Media Scotland regionals, added: “Today’s development brings the paper formerly known as the Glaswegian into line with our two other city titles.
“This ensures advertisers get their message across to large numbers of readers in a convenient and standardised format both digitally and in print.”
New columnists on the title include Clyde 1 presenters Diane Knox-Campbell and Shebahn Littlejohn, fashion writer Zoe Wilson, and two of Glasgow’s leading politicians, Gordon Matheson and Humza Yousaf. They are each given a weekly platform to inform readers of how they are fighting for the city.
There is also increased sports coverage, including a weekly Partick Thistle column.
