Meredith launches in Indonesia

US publisher, Meredith Corporation has announced that it has entered into a licensing agreement with Kompas Gramedia Magazine Group to publish and distribute a local edition of MORE magazine in Indonesia.

MORE Indonesia is expected to be available on newsstands in July 2010. It will be published in the local language, Bahasa, and initially be distributed throughout Indonesia’s major cities. Indonesia has the world’s fourth-largest population.

MORE Indonesia is the third-licensed international edition for the brand, which targets women and focuses on health, beauty, fashion, and society. It was launched by Meredith in 1998, and its current circulation in the United States is 1.3 million. MORE is also published in Canada in both English and French under license with Transcontinental Media.

Meredith media brands are currently distributed in nearly 60 countries throughout the world. The licensed edition of MORE Indonesia is the 20th licensed agreement for the company of its popular media brands including Better Homes and Gardens in Australia, China and India, and Parents in China, Greece, Indonesia and Turkey among others.
