Miles 33 acquires VirtualCom Interactive

Miles 33 has acquired VirtualCom Interactive, a leading developer and solution provider of Web, Mobile and Tablet Publishing solutions for iOS, Android, Windows 8, Samsung SmartTV and HTML5 platforms.

VirtualCom Interactive, based in Florence, Italy and a leading supplier of mobile and tablet solutions to the Italian newspaper, magazine, catalogue and book and publishing markets, has a global customer base with installations in the USA, Malaysia, Italy, Albania, Guatemala and Indonesia. Some key customers include: Libero, New Straits Times, Quattroruote, Il Tempo, United Daily, L'Unità, The Dominion Post, Kompas and Harian Metro.

VirtualCom Interactive products include VirtualNewspaper, an ePaper solution for mobile devices; VirtualEvolution, an HTML5 newsreader app with a rich user interface and a powerful automatic digital pagination engine; VirtualCMS, a Web Content Management System (WCMS) and other solutions for magazines, books, catalogs and television. All solutions offer extensive monetization options providing rapid ROI. When coupled with the built-in SEOmodule, publishers can dramatically improve their digital presence, says Miles 33.
