New partwork: Victorian Dolls’ House Collector

Issue No 1 of Victorian Dolls’ House Collector, a new partwork from RBA Coleccionables, goes on sale on 2nd March, initially priced at 99p.

According to distributors COMAG: “From RBA, the publishers of the hugely successful How Your Body Works, Amazing Dinosaur Discovery and Real Life Bugs & Insects.

Featuring exquisite furniture and accessories with every issue, Victorian Dolls’ House Collector will be packed with information about Victorian dolls’ house style.

As well as detailing the layout and descriptions of rooms from some of the most beautiful dolls’ houses, Victorian Dolls’ House Collector gives a weekly profile of some of the typical characters who would have lived in such mansions, both upstairs and downstairs.

In addition to the houses and interiors, Victorian Dolls’ House Collector will also feature aspects of Victorian life, and explore activities such as letter writing, gardening, horse riding and laundry, complete with step-by-step guides to creating your own furniture.

Regular features will include a particular room from a house, giving details on its use as well as the type of furniture that would have filled it and the colours and styles used to decorate it.

While the dolls' house itself will not be provided as part of the title, regular readers of Victorian Dolls’ House Collector will be able to collect vouchers that will enable them to purchase the dolls’ house at a vastly reduced rate.

Issue No.1 is on sale 02/03/11 at the introductory price of £0.99.

Issue No.2 will be on sale 16/03/11 priced £3.99.

Issue No.3 will be on sale 30/03/11 at the regular price of £6.99.”
