Oneshot: The Doctors – The Archive

The Doctors – The Archive, a celebratory souvenir special from Sport Media and billed as the “unofficial guide to 50 years of time travel” goes on sale 19 November, priced £4.99.

According to distributors COMAG Specialist: Since Doctor Who began its incredible run on British television in November 1963, the Daily Mirror has always been there to cover the adventures of the Time Lord.

Looking back at the show’s earliest days right up to the present, The Doctors – The Archive will have stunning images, fascinating features and interesting interviews taken from the Daily Mirror archives, to be the ultimate unofficial guide to the Time Lord.

Perfect bound and 84-pages, The Doctors – The Archive will look back at many of the best moments in the history of the show, both on camera and behind the scenes on many of the programme’s episodes, some of which have now been lost in time.

With extensive photographic coverage and many rare never-before-seen pictures from not only the early incarnations of the 1960s, but also the classic and iconic series from the 1970s and 1980s, The Doctors – The Archive will appeal to all generations of fans.

For the first time, fans will be able to see the original Doctor, William Hartnell, having his wig put in place in 1963, as well as exclusive photos taken during the recording of the revived television series, which made its comeback in 2005 and has become a sensation.

Featuring archive and brand new interviews with some of the ten actors who have made the TV show so popular, The Doctors – The Archive will mark the Time Lord’s birthday, as well as celebrate and commemorate 50 years of Doctor Who on the BBC.
