Photography for Beginners and Samsung join forces for lens guide

Imagine Publishing’s photo magazine, Photography for Beginners, has released an exclusive 16-page Beginners guide to Lenses mini-mag with issue 7.

The guide offers new photographers advice on buying, using and getting the most from their optics to ensure they take their best ever photos.

Debbi Allen, Editor in Chief of Imagine’s photographic portfolio explained: “Working with a company like Samsung has allowed us to offer more value and more information to our readership than ever before. The guide we have produced together is incredibly useful for users of compacts and system cameras alike, which helps maintain our philosophy of great shots with any camera.”

The supplement, that goes on sale 15 December 2011 with issue 7 of the magazine, is packed full of practical advice for new photographers. From understanding how focal lengths affect your images to mastering aperture, depth of field and camera skills, this guide will help readers understand their camera more.

Nick White, Head of Samsung’s Digital Imaging division said: “Samsung is pleased to be working with Imagine Publishing on projects like the Beginners Guide to Lenses. We strive to create easy to use and high quality lenses and teaming up with a magazine like Photography for Beginners means we can now also educate photographers on how to get the best results from them.”

Jennifer Farrell, Advertising Manager for Photography for Beginners added: “It has been fantastic to work with Samsung to create our first ever Photography For Beginners supplement. This type of supplement is a great opportunity for advertisers to speak directly to the readers and create an educational asset that will be referred to time and again. Photography for Beginners is dedicated to helping our readers get the best out of their photography and this type of activity is the perfect choice for advertisers to get their message to a new type of photographer.”

Photography for Beginners launched in June 2011, and is aimed at beginner photographers who shoot with cameraphones, compacts and system cameras.
