PPA Expands Business Membership with Addition of Argus Media

The Professional Publishers Association (PPA) has welcomed Argus Media as its latest member, adding to the ranks of global information businesses within the association’s membership.

A privately-held UK media organisation employing 300 journalists and 200 other staff, Argus publishes market reports, commentary, and business-critical intelligence across a variety of global industries, including energy, petrochemicals and fertilizers.

The company also produces conferences and events for the energy and commodities industries, and provides a bespoke consulting and analysis service.

Argus will be mainly involved with the activities of PPA Business, the division of the PPA dedicated to the UK’s leading Business Information providers.

Barry McIlheney (pictured), CEO of the PPA, said: “I am delighted that Argus has joined the PPA. We have made good progress in developing the PPA’s offering for today’s Business Information providers, and to have a major company such as Argus join us is recognition of that progress.

“As a global information provider with information, editorial and research at its core, Argus is in good company within PPA Business. It is important that the industry works to collective goals and, as such, to have Argus on board is a very positive step. I look forward very much to working with them.”

Ian Bourne, the Editor in Chief at Argus Media, said: “We are glad to join the PPA. Our journalists have been providing key business information to the energy, commodity and fertilizer communities for 40 years. We look forward to sharing best practices and learning from the experiences of our fellow publishers within the PPA.”
