PPA welcomes new MDAS member

Baker Goodchild has become the latest company to gain accreditation under the PPA’s Mail Distribution Accreditation Scheme (MDAS).

The scheme, launched in 2008, is a quality standard designed to generate trust and confidence for publishers in the field of mail distribution. To become accredited, companies have to pass a comprehensive process-based audit, assessing how they handle their customers’ mail.

Lorraine Burnell, Finance & Operations Director at Baker Goodchild, said: “International mail is a growing sector, and MDAS is a powerful discriminator for clients when choosing a mail consolidator/distributor. Baker Goodchild is very proud to gain the MDAS accreditation.”

MDAS scheme manager David Robottom added: “MDAS has consistently proved its relevance and value to clients and suppliers, even more so in these difficult economic times. Baker Goodchild’s successful accreditation is testament to that and we are pleased to accredit them to the scheme.”

Other companies currently accredited under the scheme are Air Business, BTB Mailflight, Direct Link, IMX, Jordan & Co International, La Poste UK, Mail International, Postal Logistics International, and Total Mail.

About MDAS

The PPA says: “The Mail Distribution Accreditation Scheme (MDAS) is a quality standard, specifically developed to test the procedures and processes of international and national mail distribution. The MDAS Customer Satisfaction Survey questions publishers on the services provided by MDAS-accredited mail consolidators and distributors. The scheme was originally known as the International Mail Distribution Accreditation Scheme (IMDAS).”
