Relaunch: Simply Homemade

Simply Homemade, the monthly title from Practical Publishing, is to relaunch with a “fresher look and feel”. The first new look issue goes on sale 9 October, priced £4.99.

According to distributors COMAG: Launched in 2011, Simply Homemade pioneered the multi-craft magazine space and while a host of rival titles have appeared since, only a few have survived on the newsstand.

Many of these competitors were aimed at a younger audience and have struggled in recent times as these readers have proven themselves to be a fickle bunch.

Targeted at a core readership who appreciate the craft involved, Simply Homemade has always appealed to the more mature crafting heartland. Offering an unrivalled number of projects in every issue, the magazine focuses on beautiful ideas that readers can make and give.

Catering for fans of all craft disciplines, projects in Simply Homemade often combine multiple techniques, whether papercraft, sewing, knitting, crochet or patchwork, enabling readers to try their hands at crafts they might not have previously attempted, with full instructions and guidance.

Simply Homemade is relaunching from issue No.48 with a redesigned, fresher look and feel.

So why relaunch? In the words of Carol Jones, Group Publisher, “This relaunch will make Simply Homemade friendlier, more accessible and even better value for money. Every issue will come with a market-leading covermounted craft product worth at least £10.”

As well as this, Carol says Simply Homemade has been given a new look which “mixes beautiful photography with clear, illustrated step-by-step guides and the editorial tone has been tweaked to ensure it's warm and welcoming to crafters of all ages and ability levels – whilst not compromising the variety and quality of the all-important projects.”

Full of Christmas craft ideas, issue No.48 of Simply Homemade will have 59 exclusive step-by-step projects, 32 inspirational card designs and loads of stylish seasonal ideas to make as gifts, including 14 ways to use the Christmas stamp and embossing folder that accompanies the issue.
