Senior appointments at Group FMG

Group FMG is reflecting the increasing focus on e-commerce and content with a raft of senior level appointments across these growing sectors of its business.

Commenting on the new additions to the UK office, Mark Inskip, Group FMG’s UK managing director, said: “E-commerce and content are the key growth areas in marketing at the moment, as brands look to not only consolidate their positions in terms of sales, but also to boost engagement levels and increase their conversion rates onsite. It’s hugely important for us to be able to help our clients deliver on their objectives in these areas, and we feel our new appointments ensure that we can do this.”

Joining Group FMG are Geoff Wright, Peter Moniak and Isabel Sigmac. Wright will be heading the e-commerce practice across Europe and re-establishing Pod1 (recently purchased by Group FMG in the US) in the UK. He brings a wealth of experience to the company having worked recently at ZMags and e-commerce platform creator Venda.

Meanwhile, Moniak will be responsible for driving Group FMG’s commercial efforts across both its content and commerce activities. Again he has a huge depth of relevant experience, joining Group FMG from Flixmedia, previously working at e-commerce web design specialist DriveBusiness and spending much of his early career at the likes of John Brown Publishing.

Finally, Sigmac will be stepping into Group FMG as head of projects – e-commerce. She previously worked for Mothercare and Best Buy where she amassed in-depth knowledge of Magento, ATG and other e-commerce platforms. She will be working with clients and the Group FMG and Pod1 creative and technical teams to build, test and deploy applications in line with agreed scope and requirements.

Inskip added: “Peter is a highly experienced and senior business development executive with 19 years media owner, integrated/digital agency and e-commerce/e-retail experience, and a proven track record in delivering first-class business solutions. Isabel brings over eight years’ experience implementing major e-commerce platforms. Most recently she was responsible for rolling out an international Core Magento platform across a global franchisee network.

“Meanwhile, Geoff has over 20 years of global technology sales leadership experience, the majority of which has been within the

e-commerce environment. His experience with industry A-listers like IBM, AT&T and Venda to growing businesses like edocs, Agillic and Zmags will be invaluable as we push our e-commerce business forward across Europe. With the appointment of all three we are showing Group FMG’s commitment to helping our current and future clients achieve their goals in these crucial areas of their business.”
