Simpsons Comics gets a makeover

Simpsons Comics, from Titan Publishing, is getting a makeover. The new look issues goes on sale on 19 January, priced £2.75.

According to distributors COMAG: “The official comic based on the hit cartoon series, Simpsons Comics features everything fans have grown to love about The Simpsons television programme.

2012 will be a milestone year for both the comic and the brand itself. Simpsons Comics will publish its 200th issue in July and the 500th episode of the cartoon is due to air in the U.S. on 19 February.

Giving the audience the opportunity to enjoy the antics of their favourite characters from this much loved cartoon, Simpsons Comics has hilarious comic strips as well as readers’ letters and artwork. Every issue carries a fabulous covermounted gift.

As part of the celebrations around the brand, from issue No.194,  Simpsons Comics has been redesigned and given a fantastic new look. Speaking of the redesign, the editor of Simpsons Comics, Martin Eden, has said: “We’re really excited here at Simpsons Comics HQ! The TV show continues to break new boundaries with its 500th episode approaching and the 25th season commissioned, and the comic, by re-launching with this fresh new design, is proving it’s here to stay. We’ve got some great stories in store for readers and we know they’re going to love the new look comic!”

Issue No.194 of Simpsons Comics will be covermounted with a bone-chilling free build-a-skeleton toy.

Not that Simpsons Comics is alone in getting a great new look; the current issue (Spectacular 12) of Simpsons Comics Presents which went on sale 5 January has also been redesigned and issue No.62 of Futurama (on sale 5 February), will also receive a makeover.”
