This is the first time that the event will be held in Asia and is the result of a partnership between TeamRock, Parallel Contemporary Music International and KLab Entertainment.
Launched in 2005, the Classic Rock Roll of Honour claims to be the biggest annual rock music award ceremony in the world, attracting the biggest names in the world of rock. Previous recipients have included Jimmy Page, Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, ZZ Top, Gene Simmons, Alice Cooper and Lemmy.
The 2016 Awards in Tokyo is the first step in TeamRock’s ambitious plans to grow its brand in Asia. The expansion across the region will be undertaken through a partnership with music marketing agency, Parallel Contemporary Music International. To spearhead this partnership, TeamRock and PCMI have signed a deal with KLab Entertainment to underwrite the staging of the Classic Rock Roll of Honour in Tokyo, Japan in 2016.
