Telegraph announces Second Festival of Business

After a successful inaugural event last year, Telegraph Media Group (TMG) will host the second Telegraph Festival of Business at Manchester Central this Friday, October 19th.

The event will bring together the very best of UK businesses and its leaders including Sir Terry Leahy, Martha Lane Fox, Jim O'Neill of Goldman Sachs and Herwig Vennekens of Haribo.

The one-day event will focus on the challenges companies face in a difficult economic environment but help them spot the opportunities too. Practical sessions will include using the digital economy to expand your business, growing through exports and financing for the future. The Festival will offer delegates the opportunity to take part in seminars and panel sessions led by, for example, Alex Burns, boss of Williams F1, and Mark Barclay of Airbus. Management expert Octavius Black will bring lessons from advising FTSE 100 companies, the Business Growth Fund will discuss attracting investment to your company and the latest research on the UK's fast growing businesses will be released.

Google will also be on-hand providing free digital clinics to delegates.

Keynote speakers include Sir Terry Leahy, former Tesco chief executive; Martha Lane Fox, founder of Lastminute.com and the Government's digital champion; Michael Fallon MP, Minister of State for Business and Enterprise; Jim O’Neill, chairman Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Herwig Vennekens, UK Managing Director of sweet giant, Haribo.

Grant Thornton and The Business Growth Fund are the partners for the event.
