TMG appoints Tim Barber as editor of QP

Telegraph Media Group (TMG) has announced the appointment of Timothy Barber as Editor of QP Magazine, who will work alongside the current Deputy Editor Tracey Llewellyn. Tim will be reporting to James Gurney, previously the Editor, who becomes Director of QP Magazine.

Tim, who is currently Editor of 00/24 Watchworld, CityAM’s London Time and an Editor for the Prodigal Guide, will start his new role in December, working across both print and digital formats of the magazine.

Tim’s appointment follows the acquisition by TMG of Salon QP and QP Magazine last month with the first event to take place under TMG’s ownership, Salon QP’s Fine Watch Exhibition, running at the Saatchi Gallery from the 7th to 9th November.

The Telegraph has been the media partner for this luxury watch event for the past three years, which sees over 50 watch brands exhibiting.

Dave King, Executive Director, TMG, said: “Following TMG’s acquisition of Salon QP and QP Magazine last month, this is a significant appointment as we drive the business forward.”

Carley Ayres, Publishing Director, Luxury, TMG, said: “Tim’s appointment reinforces an already excellent team at QP and his experience will help drive the evolution of the magazine. This investment in QP shows TMG’s determination to continue the growth we have achieved in the Luxury sector.”
