UK launch: Bookforum

Bookforum, the US literary title published five times a year, makes its UK newsstand debut on 11 February, priced £3.95.

According to distributors COMAG: Founded in the US in 1994, Bookforum is an authoritative and respected book review magazine, covering the best of contemporary literature.

In addition to intelligent and insightful reviews, every issue of Bookforum is packed with fascinating and engrossing articles, essays and columns covering a wide range of subjects.

Bookforum is launching in the UK with the Feb/Mar 2014 issue, which has a feature package about environmental issues, including weather, global extinction and environmental politics.

Best known for her black and white photos of New York in the 1930s, Berenice Abbot is still revered and the Feb/Mar issue of Bookforum looks at a new omnibus about her work.

Also featured in this issue of Bookforum is a review of acclaimed novelist, essayist and memoir writer Edmund White’s new book, Inside A Pearl: My Paris Years.

As well as this, the UK launch issue of Bookforum has articles on parental guidance, the surveillance of the security state and the truth about lies, revealing how they sustain us.
