Victoria Swainson appointed Head of Programmatic at 1XL

1XL, the regional media digital advertising platform, is boosting its automated advertising offering with the appointment of Victoria Swainson as head of programmatic.

In her new role, Victoria is responsible for overseeing programmatic strategy and ensuring 1XL continues to combine the quality environment of local media with the scale of national, says 1XL.

She joins 1XL from Switch Concepts, where she was Head of Client Development, responsible for managing a team that helped supply-side clients outperform the digital advertising market through intelligence-led trading. Prior to this, she held roles at several digital start-ups and major publishers. These include News UK, where she headed programmatic sales and strategy across the Times and the Sun, and the Financial Times, where she spent more than four years.

1XL is a digital advertising platform formed by a partnership that brings together 30 of the country’s longest established news publishers to enable advertisers to harness the aggregated strength and scale of local media. It claims to have a bigger audience than Microsoft, engages more mums than Mumsnet and reaches 1 in 2 of the UK online population (comScore).
