Audience Media sponsor Media Pioneer Awards 2012

The Media Pioneer Awards, run by the Specialist Media Show, recognise innovation and entrepreneurial spirit in specialist consumer and b2b media businesses. In Publishing have been associated with the Awards since launch.

The Specialist Media Show welcome Audience Media as sponsor for the 2012 Awards.

Now in their third year, the Media Pioneer Awards celebrate the inventiveness, energy and ambition of niche publishers, who often embrace new ideas and technology in print, digital media and events before larger media organisations.

The 2011 award winners were:

• Songlines, the world music publisher, for their partnerships with Amazon and itunes

• Advanstar’s Chromatography market for their innovative online community, digital magazine and e-learning service

• K9 magazine, for their digital magazine subscriptions and repackaging of content

• Stylist Network, for their live events and online networking for female entrepreneurs

The 2012 shortlist so far includes:

• LOOP digital media for their global P1 app which they built in-house

• Factory for their MPORA gear ecommerce site

• Total Telecom for launching global events and digital publications

• Precious Online for building a community and events

Judging takes place in May, with winners announced and awards presented in the conference theatre at the show on 24 May 2012.

Audience Media reflect the values of the Media Pioneer Awards, says Carolyn Morgan.
