Carbuyer appoints Stuart Milne as editor

Carbuyer.co.uk, Dennis Publishing’s car reviews website, has appointed Stuart Milne as its first dedicated editor.

Milne is a digital heavyweight, says Dennis, having held a number of key roles in the automotive sector over the last decade, the most recent of which being editor of Autocar’s website.

Carbuyer’s editor-in-chief, Steve Fowler, commented on the appointment saying: “Stuart is a talented editor with an ability to create high quality, user-focused content. With Carbuyer already having passed the million monthly unique users mark, Stuart’s arrival is timely as we plan to accelerate the site’s growth with more content, tools and data.”

Carbuyer publishing director, James Burnay, said: “This is a clear indication of Dennis’ intention to make Carbuyer the number one place for Britain’s car buyers to get expert, impartial advice. Stuart will join a talented team, building on Carbuyer’s incredible success story.”

Stuart Milne said: “Joining Carbuyer as editor is a wonderful opportunity to be at the centre of its continued growth and success. In particular, I look forward to delivering new projects to make it ever-easier for buyers to select the perfect car for them, and to ensure they get the best deal possible.”

Carbuyer.co.uk was launched in October 2010 and is already established as one of the UK’s most respected sources of car buying advice. According to Dennis, its blend of real-world reviews, expert advice, owner comments and entertaining video has proved to be a big hit with British car buyers. It’s also the only motoring website to be accredited by the Plain English Campaign and has been nominated for the PPA’s 2014 Digital Innovation of the Year Award.
