The Decanter Global Wine Tastings powered by Enomatic will see sip-size samples in 34 venues in 20 countries around the world for a minimum of two weeks at the start of October. As well as wine bars, restaurants and shops, the tasting experiences will also be on offer on five cruise ships in the Caribbean and Mediterranean.
Enomatic machines – which preserve wine in open bottles and deliver samples to customers in quantities as small as 10ml – will allow visitors to sample at least 16 Decanter World Wine Awards winners at each venue.
As well as London, Tokyo, Paris, Hong Kong, Moscow, Edinburgh, Shanghai, Tuscany and a dozen cities across the United States, other venues include Wine Odyssey in Sydney, Bar des Arts in Sao Paulo, Juben Wine Cellar in Mumbai, and Magatzem Escola in Barcelona.
Decanter publishing director Sarah Kemp says: “This event gives wine lovers all over the world the chance to taste a selection of Decanter’s award-winning wines. The Enomatic system allows the wines to be served at their optimum condition so it is the perfect partner for Decanter and our international audience of wine lovers. It promises to be a truly exceptional showcase.”
Enomatic CEO Italo Baldini says: “We are proud to be partner of Decanter in such a special tasting worldwide and feel confident that everybody will enjoy the opportunity of this outstanding wine experience. Together with Decanter we share the same philosophy: to promote wine culture worldwide and this will be just the beginning of an amazing cooperation!”
