Future’s Comic Heroes to cover-mount The Traveler

Future’s Comic Heroes is cover-mounting a full copy of issue one of The Traveler, as created by Stan Lee, the famous comic book writer and ex-chairman of Marvel comics.

In association with Boom! Studios, issue 4 of Comic Heroes will feature industry legend Stan Lee’s latest collaboration, written by Harvey & Eisner Award-nominated writer Mark Waid, with art by Amazing Spider-Man’s Chad Hardin. The Traveler will also feature an exclusive limited edition cover, only available with Comic Heroes’ December edition, on sale 14th December.

Stan Lee is a National Medal of Arts Award-winner and created the superhero mainstays that populate the House of Ideas, Marvel Comics: Spider-Man, Iron Man, The X-Men, The Hulk, Dr. Strange, Daredevil, The Fantastic Four and Thor, amongst many others.

Stan Lee’s The Traveler, first released in November, is the second of three new ongoing superhero series brought to you by Boom! Studios and Stan Lee. Upon release, Stan Lee’s Soldier Zero quickly became the bestselling Boom! book of all time; written by Paul Cornell and drawn by Javier Pina, it has garnered praise from all quarters. This week also marks the release of Stan Lee’s Starborn, written by New York Times bestseller and Superman writer Chris Roberson, with art by Khary Randolph.

Comic Heroes editor Jes Bickham said: “We’re immensely proud and deeply honored to be able to bring you a hugely collectable first issue of The Traveler with Comic Heroes issue 4. The exclusive cover from Boom! Studios makes this a rare treat indeed.”

“We're very excited to offer comic fans across the pond the opportunity to jump on board the latest hit series from Stan Lee and Boom! Studios!,” said Boom! Comic Heroes is the 132-page bi-monthly sister-title to SFX, the sci-fi and fantasy magazine. According to Future, Comic Heroes delivers everything fans need to know about the world of comics across graphic novels, movies, TV, videogames, merchandise and the comic books themselves.

Included in the December issue of Comic Heroes, comic book fans can enjoy an interview with artist Kevin O'Neill (League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Century: 1969), a profile of French fabulist Moebius by comics historian Paul Gravett, a look at Britain's forgotten superheroes by comic artist Lew Stringer and the second part of ‘How To Draw For Comics’, in which a wealth of industry talent offer advice to aspiring comic book artists.
