Girl Talk’s first Reader Issue

12 July, 2013: Girl Talk Magazine has launched its first ever issue filled with content either starring readers or chosen by them.

Girl Talk, Immediate Media’s pre-teen girls’ title, invited readers to take over the current issue of the magazine and make it their own ‘Reader Issue’. Featuring inspiring girls, reader make-overs and backstage visits, almost every page has been created by a whole host of its readers.

The fortnightly magazine features a reader meeting the Friday Download crew, reader trend-setters and stories of real girls’ achievements including a junior wheelchair tennis star and a 12 year old app inventor!

Editor of Girl Talk, Bea Appleby said: “Our readers love to get involved and have their voices heard, so we gave them a chance to take over an issue! We’ve had so much fun working with them and we know they’ve enjoyed getting a taste of what it’s like to create a magazine.”

Issue 482 of Girl Talk is on sale until 23 July 2013, priced £2.75.
