Haymarket announces secondment of Patrick Fuller to Haymarket India

Haymarket Media Group has announced that group director, Patrick Fuller, will be joining the team of Haymarket India for a three-month secondment from the start of February.

Patrick will continue with his UK responsibilities during this time and, following his return from India in May, will continue in his role across Motoring, Consumer Electronics and Digital.

Fuller will be working with Haymarket India to build on the division’s success since it was launched in partnership with managing director Hormazd Sorabjee in 1999. Its flagship title, Autocar India, is the market leading automotive consumer title in India and sits alongside many other familiar Haymarket brands including Stuff, Campaign, What Car? and What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision, says Haymarket.

Fuller will be working with Hormazd and publishing director Suresh Ramakrishnan on the development of new digital business models and the positioning of the divisions’ existing brands in India’s expanding media market.

Haymarket Media Group Chief Executive, Kevin Costello, said: “We are delighted with our progress in India and see excellent potential for the future. With his strong experience across Haymarket’s motoring and consumer electronics brands, Patrick is the ideal person to work with Hormazd, Suresh and the team to take the business to the next level and ensure it is fit for the future.”

Fuller said: “Hormazd, Suresh and the team have created an amazing business and I can’t wait to work with our brands in India as digital becomes more important. I know from my previous visits to Mumbai and New Dehli that our teams have great energy and expertise and I’m proud to be joining them for the next stage of our development.”

Fuller has been the group director of Haymarket Consumer Media for five years, reporting to Managing Director David Prasher in his role across Haymarket’s motoring and consumer electronics businesses. He also has responsibility for Haymarket Consumer Media’s digital activity. He joined as a journalist in 1993, working as a sub-editor on Autocar and then moving to What Car? as deputy editor. In 1997 Fuller became editor of Autocar and produced 175 issues before joining the publishing team.
