Headley Brothers holds Open Day to celebrates 130 years

To celebrate its 130th anniversary, and in support of Pilgrim’s Hospice, Ashford-based printing company Headley Brothers hosted a company Open Day on Saturday 11th June 2011, at its Invicta Press premises.

Headley Brothers welcomed 500 existing and retired staff, family and friends. Guests enjoyed a factory tour, before sitting down to an afternoon tea, with entertainment provided by a jazz trio. Afternoon tea was followed by entertainment in the form of Punch and Judy and magic shows, and a wide variety of side-shows. The event raised over £1200 for Pilgrim’s Hospice, Ashford.

Roger Pitt, managing director, said, “We are a long-standing company that has seen much change. We are hugely proud of our status as a 130-year-old company, and are thrilled that so many of our dedicated staff, family and friends were able to join us at this celebration.”

Headley Brothers is an independent printing company and long-standing member of the Ashford business community. Employing over 230 staff, Headley Brothers is a proud Investor in People, with many staff having achieved twenty, thirty or forty years of service, says the company. Traditionally a magazine and journal printer, Headley Brothers now offers “complete and comprehensive print and media solutions”. These services include: digital, web and sheet-fed printing services (from 1 to 350,000 copies), finishing and fulfilment services, mailing and subscriptions, design and web design services, online file delivery & approval system, and a web-to-print system.
