Graham has many years of experience and a strong track record in product development and innovation which will be a huge asset to the team.’

He also previously developed and launched the RSC's eBook Collection. He has led the in-house development of editorial article submission and workflow systems, and recently outsourced the submission system to Scholar One. In earlier roles at the RSC, Dr McCann was responsible for developing a suite of journals in the chemical sciences, as a Publisher and as a Managing Editor. He also led the RSC's successful journal article growth programme.  He has a PhD in physical chemistry from the University of Cambridge and a first degree from the University of Strathclyde. He also spent a year as a Royal Society Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Auckland.

Dr McCann said: “I am really looking forward to joining the team at IOP and working closely with my new colleagues and our customers and partners not only to grow and develop IOP’s existing online services, but also to find and create opportunities where we can lead the way with new innovations that support the needs of the worldwide scientific community.”
