Kelsey Publishing announces senior management changes

The current Managing Director of Kelsey Publishing, Steve Wright, is being promoted to Chief Executive Officer. Steve is being replaced as MD by Mandy Thwaites.

In his new role Steve will be responsible for the on-going growth of the business overseeing launches and acquisitions as well as working on special projects.

Mandy will manage the day to day running of the business and its future shaping.

Steve Wright says: “Kelsey Publishing has grown substantially over recent years, with successful launches and acquisitions, making us one of the most successful privately owned publishing businesses in the UK. However we are not complacent and in order to maintain our growth we must refocus our business and strengthen our management team. Mandy will be tasked with making Kelsey Publishing a robust organisation that operates at the leading edge of content and audience.

Mandy has a broad business and publishing background with experience across a number of sectors. Although she has only been with us a short time, she has already made a considerable impact.”

Mandy Thwaites says: “Despite the challenges that face the magazine publishing industry, Kelsey is very well positioned for the future. It is an exciting opportunity to shape a business for the audiences of today and tomorrow.”

Prior to joining Kelsey Publishing, Mandy worked as Circulation Director at Archant Lifestyle, ran theatres and festivals for a local authority as well as having been Managing Director of subscriptions bureau, Galleon (now Dovetail Services).

Kelsey Publishing incorporates over 40 regular frequency magazines, including Psychologies, Coast, Good Homes, Aeroplane, Trucking and Ships Monthly. It also publishes numerous books and one shots.
