Launch: Knit Now

Knit Now, a new monthly title from Practical Publishing International, goes on sale 20 October, priced £4.99.

According to distributors COMAG: “New title aimed at a younger, modern knitter who is looking to create clothing and accessories for herself that reflect the latest high street trends and fashions, not styles from three or six months ago. They are looking for designs for clothes that they would wear – not designs for 50-somethings modelled by 20-somethings!

Typically aged in her 30s or 40s, today’s modern knitter is looking for designs that are stylish and can be knitted in days rather than months using high-quality yarns, but not in volumes that mean the finished article costs hundreds of pounds to make.

Knit Now aims to address these concerns, with fantastic designs that are quick, easy and economical to make in every issue. With great ideas in every issue, Knit Now will have exclusive patterns from up and coming designers, as well as high street fashions.

In keeping with the fun, fashion feel, every issue of Knit Now will have stunning photography of the designs and stylish images of the finished clothing to inspire readers.

As well as the clothing, Knit Now does not forget the accessories and will be packed with ideas for making the perfect accompaniments to the main outfits. Again, these will be easy and quick to make, with an emphasis on being economical on yarn – making them ideal for knitters wanting to try new techniques and materials, or practice old skills.

Issue No.1 of this fantastic new magazine will be bagged with a free designer circular knitting needles and a 64-page beginner’s technique guide.”
