Local World appoints Mike Goldsmith Digital Product Director

Local World has announced the appointment of Mike Goldsmith as Digital Product Director, with immediate effect. He will have an initial special remit to deliver a world class mobile product.

Mike was previously Head of Content Strategy at Mobile for Future. During this time, he led content strategy for mobile, identifying publishing opportunities and developing innovation programmes for phone and tablet. Prior to that, as Editor-in-Chief for Digital Editions, Mike led the launch of Future’s magazine portfolio on Apple Newsstand in 2011 as well as the migration of its key brands to interactive editions using the FutureFolio platform.

Commenting on his appointment, Mike said: “Having great local brands and content is central to strong mobile businesses. Local World is in a great position to deliver that and I'm thrilled to be joining at such an exciting time."
