Matt Hill named Editor of T3

T3, the multi-platform technology media brand, has announced that Matt Hill has been appointed Editor of the Magazine and Digital Editions with immediate effect.

Matt has been Deputy Editor of T3’s Magazine and Digital Editions for three years, helping the brand to its two highest-ever ABCs, biggest-ever awards and a number of industry awards, including the Professional Publishers Association Awards for International Magazine of the Year and Digital Product of the Year.

Before T3, Matt was Deputy Editor for ShortList, Contributing Editor on the launch of Virgin's iPad magazine Project and Production Editor/Culture Editor on men's style monthly Arena. He has won two Video Games Media Awards and written about technology and games for The Guardian, The Sunday Times, Wired and Soho House magazine.

Matt Hill says: "I'm proud of what we've achieved these past three years and appreciate the opportunity to help shape T3's future. It's an exciting time to be here – the brand's never been bigger, but the necessity to refocus, refine and restructure in an ever-shifting digital landscape is key. I'm very much looking forward to taking the reins from Luke, who I've enjoyed working with immensely."

Kieran Alger, Editor-in-Chief of T3, says: "I'm thrilled to have Matt stepping up to the Editor's role. As Deputy Editor he's been integral to the huge success we've seen for T3 in print and digital. His knowledge, passion and drive make him the perfect candidate for this new role as we continue to make T3 the leading multi-platform technology brand in the UK and beyond. We're in exciting times for the brand and the appointment of Matt reflects our ambition to make T3 stronger than ever."
