New Editor appointed for SciFiNow

Imagine Publishing has announced the appointment of James Hoare as new Editor of SciFiNow, the sci-fi film and TV magazine.

Arriving with a wealth of experience across a range of entertainment titles, the new Editor’s first issue, SciFiNow issue 55, goes on sale 8 June.

James Hoare (pictured) aims to enhance brand awareness and develop the burgeoning reader community. With the genre film and TV market ready to be boosted by several chart-toppers, including Captain America, Green Lantern, Transformers 3, the last Harry Potter, the highly-anticipated conclusion to Doctor Who: Series 6 as well as many more high profile releases, SciFiNow is now primed to take advantage, says Imagine.

“It’s an absolute honour to take on such key role on the most exciting and vibrant publication in the market” said Hoare. “With the profile of sci-fi film and TV taking a larger and larger stake in the mainstream, I look forward to taking SciFiNow into the future.”

Editor in Chief Aaron Asadi added, “SciFiNow is a special brand, and with James on board we have the perfect mix of talent, enthusiasm and experience to drive it forward. I’ve seen SciFiNow issue 55 and know that our loyal readers are going to feel very rewarded with James’ first issue. And that’s just the start…”

Damian Butt, Managing Director of Imagine said: “It is a real pleasure to watch James at work with his obvious passion for the subject matter and a wealth of experience in pure magazine craft. SciFiNow is stronger than it has ever been, and with James now at the helm, I am sure it is going to become one of Imagine’s most-respected brands.”
