NFRN and Menzies Prepare Retailers for Change

Nearly 100 newsagents dropped in when news wholesaler Menzies and the NFRN teamed up to run special advice sessions on SAP.

The drop in sessions, organised by local Menzies manager Craig Banister and the NFRN team covering the Northern and Yorkshire areas, took place at Stockton and York and gave retailers the chance to take a tour of the wholesale house and see how SAP would work.  They were also given an information pack which included a sample copy invoice.

Managers and SAP team were on hand to answer questions and coffee and a buffet was also provided.

One retailer said that service has vastly improved in the Stockton branch and he welcomed the chance to tell the management this and to see how the depot operated.

Other retailers said they had been apprehensive about SAP but now that it had been explained, they looked forward to receiving daily credits and shorter time checking invoices at the end of each week.

NFRN Meetings Organiser Theresa Carter said: “As a result of these two sessions retailers will now be prepared for the change. Our thanks to Craig and his staff at the houses for allowing the drop in sessions to take place.”

SAP is going live in York and Stockton on June 27.
