Miranda Hart says, “I’m genuinely thrilled to have been asked to be guest editor for Puzzler, for it has been a good friend to me during both good times and bad times of my half-century in this world. Yes, I too am turning 50 this year – all the greats were conceived in 1972 (my wholly unbiased opinion…).”
She continues, “Puzzler, you give many of us puzzlers much pleasure.”
Shameem Begg, Promotions & Innovations Manager at Puzzler says, “After half a century it’s wonderful that Puzzler continues to thrive. The past few years have given people a renewed love of puzzles and we’re always incredibly moved when we hear from readers that our puzzles play an important part in their mental-health wellbeing and help to keep their minds active.”
On why Puzzler reached out to Miranda, Shameem adds, “Miranda brings such fun and joy into people’s lives; she loves puzzles and is a huge advocate for mental-health wellbeing. I personally couldn’t think of anyone more perfect to be our guest editor. Everyone on Team Puzzler is really excited about this issue!”
Not only are Miranda and Puzzler celebrating their 50th this year, but so is the charity, Crisis at Christmas. To show support, Puzzler says it is donating thousands of free copies of this special issue to the Crisis at Christmas campaign and the team will be volunteering at the warehouse to help prepare their wellbeing packages.
The special celebratory issue is on sale, priced £3.20, from Wednesday 9 November.
