Since joining the Reed Elsevier group in 2003, Mr. Kolkman has held several positions, most currently as Managing Director of Elsevier Health Sciences in Sydney, Australia.
Mr. Kolkman originally joined Reed Elsevier as Director of Elsevier Baard, part of Reed Business Information (RBI) in the Netherlands and this was later merged into Reed Business Education. He held two further leading positions in the RBI Netherlands business, firstly as Publishing Director Finance & Tax and then as Associate Director. He has been working for Elsevier in Australia since 2008 in his current role as Managing Director, Health Sciences covering Australia and New Zealand.
Prior to and during his career with Reed Elsevier, Mr. Kolkman has gained extensive relevant experience at senior management level within the media, publishing and professional education sectors.
