Royal Britain – souvenir edition

Royal Britain magazine is producing a souvenir special edition to mark the Queen’s diamond jubilee. It goes on sale 13 April, priced £4.99.

According to distributors COMAG: “Commemorating and celebrating the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Royal Britain is proud to be producing a souvenir guide for this special occasion.

The Diamond Jubilee marks Queen Elizabeth’s 60 years on the throne, making her only the second British monarch in history – other than Queen Victoria – to achieve such a momentous milestone, which will be marked with worldwide celebrations.

In words and pictures, Royal Britain Presents Diamond Jubilee will look at the life of this very modern Queen from her birth in 1926 through to the present day, covering the many stages of an often-turbulent existence, which has been mostly lived in the public eye.

Presented in chronological order, Royal Britain Presents Diamond Jubilee will begin with chapters on the Queen’s early life and childhood as Princess Elizabeth, as well as some fascinating little known facts and images of her contribution to the War effort.

This special souvenir magazine will have vivid word and picture portraits of the Queen’s 1953 Coronation Day, her marriage to Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, her many Royal visits, including to the USA and Canada, as well many other state occasions.

Using some rare archive stills by top press photographers, Royal Britain Presents Diamond Jubilee will feature some of the celebrations surrounding Her Majesty’s Silver Jubilee in 1977 and Golden Jubilee in 2002, as a reminder of how spectacular they were.

As well as all this, Royal Britain Presents Diamond Jubilee will have some more intimate chapters featuring Her Majesty’s fashion, love of horse racing, the charities she supports and of course her family, including her children and grandchildren.

Beautifully presented on quality gloss paper, Royal Britain Presents Diamond Jubilee is sure to become a much-sought-after collector’s item at a time when the British monarchy is going through a resurgence of worldwide popularity.”
