Southbank Homes Group launches Homes Fashion Week

IPC Southbank’s homes portfolio is launching Homes Fashion Week, an eight day focus on the new season’s homeware collections and a celebration of the week that sees London become the hub of the interiors world.

Running from 17 to 24 September, Homes Fashion Week brings together Southbank’s home interest brands to celebrate the best in British interior design, from high-end to high street. The idea for the event is based on the showcase of British fashion that is London Fashion Week, and the focus of activity will be a microsite hosted on www.housetohome.co.uk.

Teams from Livingetc, Country Homes & Interiors, Homes & Gardens, and Ideal Home will be reporting from Tent, Origin, Decorex and 100% Design among others. They will be capturing the excitement and buzz of the shows, and bringing readers design reports, trends galleries and shopping galleries of must-see products.

The October issue of Ideal Home has a double format – 50% regular issue, 50% Home Fashion issue, with double front cover, contents, and extra paging to celebrate this inaugural event. With over 90 pages dedicated to decorating trends, shopping, wallpapers, fabrics and real homes with style to steal, the issue is a complete guide to home fashion 2011. There are opportunities to win prizes, plus discounts including 20% off at Dwell and The White Company.

Isobel McKenzie-Price, editorial director of Ideal Home and www.housetohome.co.uk, says: “Every September, London becomes the homes style capital of the world and we want our readers to experience the buzz and excitement that magazines deliver so well for London Fashion Week. Using the talents and expertise within Southbank’s home interest brands, we’re supporting the industry and providing a showcase of the best autumn/winter home-fashion ranges.”

Yvonne Ramsden, publishing director of Southbank’s homes portfolio, adds: “Southbank is the market leading home interest publisher and our titles are leading the growth in the home interest sector, thanks to their expertise and unrivalled knowledge. This is the first time that the titles have joined together on a campaign – our readers will love it.”

In celebration of Homes Fashion Week, Isobel McKenzie-Price will be hosting a lunchtime webchat on www.housetohome.co.uk on 23 September, where she will share her interior design expertise with visitors.

Homes Fashion Week will be promoted on the www.housetohome.co.uk homepage, via social media and with a Homes Fashion Week newsletter to 80,000 subscribers. The Homes Fashion Week hub will run a range of competitions during this week.

IPC Southbank’s home interest portfolio consists of Ideal Home, Homes & Gardens, Country Homes & Interiors, Livingetc, 25 Beautiful Homes, Beautiful Kitchens, Style At Home and www.housetohome.co.uk.
