Sun relaunches website

Yesterday, The Sun unveiled its new website, which it says is bolder, bigger and brighter than ever before.

The Sun says: The digital team have spent considerable time designing a website that serves up all the must-read stories on the must-know news of the day.

On top of all the eye-popping scoops from Britain’s favourite newspaper, our brilliant team of digital reporters will be writing hundreds of stories all day and all night – so if it’s worth knowing, they have covered it.

The site has a fresh new design, packed with lots more pictures and video. And once you have got to the bottom of one, don’t leave…there are lots more below that are recommended just for you.

Lastly, all of this has been optimised for your mobile phone because we are all now living our lives on the move (or idling away time on the sofa!). So scroll, swipe and click away.

This new website is the next step in an exciting digital period for The Sun after joining Snapchat Discover in April.

Keith Poole, Digital Editor of The Sun, said: “We’re excited to finally unveil the new Sun website. The team has worked tirelessly over the last few months to produce and launch a site we’re all very proud of. We haven’t just changed design, but the team have had to get to grips with a whole new system to work on, while still publishing on the old system. I’ve been very impressed by how everyone has shown patience and stepped up to the task.

The new site is fresher, faster and easily scalable. Now we’ve hit Base Camp, we’re all raring to get on with the climb ahead.”
