Taylor & Francis launches new OA journal series
Emma Greenwood: “The Elevate Series has been developed to meet key priorities for today’s researchers.”

Launched by Taylor & Francis, the Elevate Series of broad-scope open access journals offers a fast, streamlined experience and full support in navigating the publication process, says the publisher.

Authors will experience the editorial and high ethical standards of Taylor & Francis journals, along with personalized support at every step, allowing them to publish their work and comply with the requirements of all major funder and institutional mandates.

The publisher says new optimized systems and processes developed especially for the series will ensure a smooth publication process, from submission to peer review, and production. All research submitted to an Elevate title will be subject to the same rigorous peer review as other Taylor & Francis journals.

Researchers submitting to an Elevate journal will benefit from one-to-one editorial support. Whenever authors have questions, require feedback, or just want an update on the status of their paper, they will be guaranteed a quick response from the dedicated Elevate team.

All Elevate journals will be fully open access, the publisher continued. This reflects the ambition of Taylor & Francis to give every researcher the opportunity to choose open access (OA) and its commitment to OA as the most effective way to amplify the research that fosters human progress. Elevate titles join the range of Taylor & Francis open options, which include over 2,600 fully OA and hybrid journals, F1000 platforms and an OA book program.

Taylor & Francis says Annals of Medicine is the first journal in the series, which will soon comprise titles across subject areas, enabling a broad range of researchers to publish with Elevate. Other journals joining the series in 2023 include All Life, Cancer Management & Research and a brand-new cross-disciplinary launch, Sustainable Communities. Elevate journals will all be broad in scope, promoting collaboration and providing a holistic view of current topics to fuel further research.

Emma Greenwood, director of open access at Taylor & Francis, said: “The Elevate Series has been developed to meet key priorities for today’s researchers. Fast publication along with the reach and impact of research are more important than ever. And when it comes to choosing a publisher, we know researchers want a trusted partner who will provide them with a service tailored to their individual needs. That’s what we’re excited to be offering with Elevate.”
