Jane, a former fashion writer for The Times, joins from MatchesFashion.com where she was Senior Fashion Features Editor.
Jane's appointment cements Style's commitment to a new digital strategy, which will enable brands to engage with a wider audience on multiple platforms. It marks the start of Style's new 360 editorial team focused on providing exceptional fashion and beauty journalism across digital channels seven days a week, says The Sunday Times.
Jane will join a new-look team in September 2017 ahead of a major redesign which will be unveiled that same month.
Lorraine Candy, Editor-in-Chief of Style, said: “Style reaches more AB women than Vogue, Elle, & Harper’s Bazaar combined and with Jane’s editorial, digital and commercial expertise she brings with her an exciting vision for Style's fashion coverage. We are delighted to have her join our newly expanded team so that Style can hit new highs, particularly across digital channels."
Jane McFarland said: "Ahead of a print and online relaunch, it is the beginning of an innovative new era at Style magazine. I look forward to bringing my experience in luxury fashion and knowledge of content creation across different mediums to The Sunday Times."
