According to the Telegraph, this new online channel, sponsored by E.ON, will house a mix of electric vehicle features, reviews and opinion articles written by the Telegraph motoring team. A new fortnightly newsletter will share the best of this content with subscribers.
The new dedicated channel opens with an exclusive feature by James May, says the publisher. Telegraph motoring editor Paul Hudson said: “We are delighted to be able to provide even greater coverage of fully electric cars, including reviews of all the latest models along with buying advice and features. The UK ban on the sale of new combustion-engined cars comes into effect in just seven years, so we aim to provide buyers with a wealth of reliable information to enable them to make informed choices about their transport needs.”
Scott Somerville, head of brand and marketing at E.ON, said: “Getting people out of petrol and diesel cars and into electric vehicles is crucial if we are to meet our net zero target. We have a role to play in inspiring sustainable change and if we are to succeed in getting people to make the switch, we need to show the benefits of electric vehicles to drivers and to the environment. Supporting the Telegraph’s electric vehicle channel gives us the ideal opportunity to have that conversation.”
