The Times launches Your History

The Times has announced a new podcast series, Your History, the first episode launched on 28th May.

The Times launches Your History

Presented by Anna Temkin, deputy obituaries editor of The Times, each episode will detail absorbing accounts of remarkable lives, added the publisher.

The Times says it has published daily obituaries for over a century. Building on this, Your History brings these stories to life in a fresh, auditory format. In each episode The Times says Anna Temkin will be joined by voices from across The Times and Sunday Times to explore the lives which have enriched and informed our own. The podcast will release a weekly episode but with special editions as needed, added the publisher.

Listeners will hear stories of the people shaping our lives as told through the obituaries pages of The Times. Each week there will be two obituaries from the last seven days – one will be the life story of someone well known, the other will be about someone possibly less well known, but equally fascinating.

Presenter Anna Temkin will introduce these compelling stories and celebrate the lifetime achievements of artists, scientists, sports people, politicians, musicians and many more. Each episode will include readings from journalists from across The Times and Sunday Times.
