Top Gear launches in Finland

BBC Top Gear Magazine is now available in Finland, following a licensing deal between BBC Magazines and PMG Nordic, part of Pauna Media Group Ltd.

The first issue of Top Gear Suomi (Suomi is the Finnish word for ‘Finnish’) Magazine, dated May 2011, is now on sale with a cover price of €7.90. The initial print run is 35,000 copies, with an estimated 2,700 retail outlets selling the magazine. Each issue will consist of 148 pages, with20% of the content produced in Finland.

Editor of Top Gear Suomi Magazine is Jari Pauna, founder of Pauna Media Group Ltd and CEO of publishing company Euromedia Magazines Ltd. He said: “Top Gear is a hugely popular series in Finland and the magazine has received an enthusiastic response from both readers and the industry. Top Gear Suomi Magazine occupies a unique position in the market, combining automotive content with lifestyle content; this magazine is as much about driving as the cars. We are all excited to be able to work with a leading worldwide brand with excellent production values.”
