UK newsstand launch: Haute Muse

Haute Muse, the quarterly publication launched in May, goes on sale on the UK newsstand for the first time on 22 November, priced £5.

According to distributors COMAG: “Launched in May this year by influential Qatari fashionistas Noor Al-Thani, Fatma Al-Thani and Muneera Al-Musallam, Haute Muse is the first international fashion magazine to come out of the Middle East.

While the main focus is on fashion and lifestyle, Haute Muse also has red carpet events, health & beauty and culture in every issue. Regular features include about holiday destinations, restaurants and spas. Aiming to be every woman’s guide to the world of luxury, Haute Muse also has the latest fashion-related news and technologies.

The first issue, which was primarily distributed in the Middle East, featured U.S. reality TV star Olivia Palermo on the cover and inside, while the second edition, which only had a limited distribution in the UK, had Harry Potter actress Bonnie Wright.

Issue No.3, the UK national launch issue, will have a cover featuring another U.S. reality TV star, but this time Kim Kardashian, who is much better known in the UK.

The magazine took Kardashian to Atlantis, The Palm Hotel in Dubai for the shoot, after which she spoke about her marriage to basketball star Kris Humphries, living in the spotlight and her plans for the Kardashian business empire of clothing ranges and shops.

In the revealing interview with writer Carrie Buckle, Kardashian talks about her Armenian heritage and never having been there, how much she enjoyed her first visit to the Middle East. As well as this, Kardashian gives an insight into her style inspirations, which include Nicole Richie and Rhianna (“I respect and really like their style.”)

With the recent breakup of her marriage and the media coverage that it garnered in the British press, the Kim Kardashian cover and feature is sure to be a draw for fans.”
