What’s your favourite?

Our mediaOnmedia survey closes next week. Have you had your say?

By James Evelegh

What’s your favourite?

No, not Easter Egg, although I confess to being rather partial to a Cadbury Creme Egg.

No, what is your favourite film, tv series and book about the media?

That’s what our ‘mediaONmedia’ survey is all about and the results so far have been intriguing.

We’d love to know your choices. Don’t worry if you can’t complete all the questions – just leave those ones blank.

I’ll let you into a secret. Mine were: The Post (film), Channel 4’s 1980s series Hard News presented by Ray Snoddy (TV series), Zucked by Roger McNamee (book – factual) and Scoop by Evelyn Waugh (book – fictional).

As part of the survey, we also ask a supplementary question, ‘Who do you think is the most influential person in media at the moment (for good or ill)?’, which is likely to provoke lots of debate.

My choice was Rupert Murdoch. Some have opted for American titans Mark Zuckerberg, Donald Trump and Jeff Bezos.

From the UK, we’ve had Andrew Neil, Piers Morgan and Zillah Byng-Thorne suggested, amongst others.

The survey closes next week, so I do hope that, between all the chocolate, you’ll spare a couple of minutes to take part. The more response we get, the more interesting will be the results.

In the meantime, I hope you have a very relaxing and restful Easter break.
