WIRED cleans up with CURB

The highly anticipated launch of WIRED magazine is supported by the marketing industry’s new kid on the block, CURB.

Thursday 2nd April: As part of their launch activity aimed at the creative and marketing industry, new Consumer Technology magazine WIRED commissioned natural marketing agency CURB to produce one of their clean advertising campaigns. CURB, who deliver advertising using only natural materials, have laid down dozens of WIRED branded ‘clean ads’ outside creative agencies across central London.

Each of the adverts is spray cleaned using only naturally collected rain water. The adverts stand out in contrast to the surrounding dirty pavement and last for between two to three weeks before fading.

According to CURB, their campaigns are a head turning alternative to tired traditional advertising media. Curb adverts "cut through the public’s in-built ability to screen out most marketing media and as a result offer a much higher return on investment."

Anthony Ganjou of CURB said:

“WIRED is known as a creative and innovative brand in both its editorial content and marketing activity so we are pleased they saw Clean Advertising as being a key part of their b2b launch activity.

With this campaign the innovation is both not only in the creative execution of the message but also in the location of the clean ads.  WIRED want to send a message out to marketing influencers and potential advertisers. What better way to remind this audience you exist than by literally putting yourself on their doorstep?

Finally, I would say that Smart brands are starting to recognize the power of clean advertising and they like the fact that it has a low impact to the environment.”
