You announces interactive advertiser partnership with Jacques Vert

The Mail on Sunday’s You magazine is exploring new partnerships with leading brands linking advertorial to both editorial and bespoke reader-events.

On October 26th the magazine, edited by Sue Peart, is teaming up with The Jacques Vert Group to stage a fashion show called ‘The Mum & Me Coatwalk’. The event will be hosted by GMTV’s Kate Garraway on London’s Southbank.

Amy Williams, You magazine Brand Manager said: “This event is the start of a bigger conversation between advertisers and our readers and is a great opportunity for brands to interact with You readers in an innovative and engaging way, taking brand messages beyond the printed page. We are delighted to be working with The Jacques Vert Group and expect this to be the first of many You Magazine reader events.”

According to the publishers, this is the first such partnership of its kind for You magazine, which is read by over 2 million women every week, and has the largest number of ABC1 female readers of any weekly women’s magazine. (Source: NRS January – June 2013.) The You brand is the “perfect partner for advertisers who want to engage with fashion conscious women who are actively looking for style tips and inspiration”.

‘The Mum & Me Coatwalk’ will feature three fashion shows with mothers and daughters invited to take to the catwalk. They will be able to choose from their favourite Jacques Vert Group garments including Windsmoor, Kaliko, Jacques Vert, Precis, Planet, Minuet Petite, Eastex and Dash. Hair and make-up specialists will be on hand to add plenty of glamour.

There will also be a menu of activities and treats on offer throughout the day including:

* Mini makeover including nails by Leighton Denny’s team

* Personal fashion illustration

* Catwalk lessons from a professional coach

* Style advice on your perfect coat

* Cupcakes and English sparkling wine on offer

* Complimentary goody bag

* Professional photo of your ‘Mum and Me Coatwalk’ experience

Readers will also be invited to take part in a competition to win an overnight hotel stay. A coat will also be designed for both the winner and her guest by one of the Jacques Vert Group designers.

Readers can purchase tickets via telephone from October 6th when the event will be announced in the magazine. There will also be extensive editorial coverage of the event in You on October 13th.

Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Think Pink, a charitable initiative established to aid all three leading breast cancer charities; the Pink Ribbon Foundation, Breakthrough Breast Cancer and Breast Cancer Campaign.
