AdBeetle to launch at World Publishing Expo

AdBeetle, from Oppolis, is set to launch at World Publishing Expo 2014 and promises, says the company, to take the pain out of Smartphone and Tablet Advertising.

Print and digital publishing software developers Oppolis, have announced the launch of their new product - AdBeetle, which has been created specifically for publishers, designers and agencies who are looking to publish or create interactive adverts for smartphones and tablet devices.

Oppolis will be showcasing AdBeetle at the annual World Publishing Expo, which is being held in Amsterdam, between 13-15th October 2014. Demonstrations will be taking place on stand 406 in hall 10.

Oppolis have been developing software for the print and digital publishing industry for well over a decade, working with leading UK content publishers such as John Brown, Cedar, EMAP, Seven, Result and Haymarket.

According to Oppolis, AdBeetle has been specifically developed to fill a gap within the digital publishing market, as there is currently no solution for designers to create digital adverts, for a range of devices and platforms, all from a single location.

This lack of a solution has meant that interactive adverts for digital devices are expensive to create, which has prevented them from being included in many publications. Many publications simply include static print replica adverts, to save both time and cost.

AdBeetle is extremely intuitive and enables users to create interactive adverts, for a range of devices, simply and quickly, says the company. Users can also provide unlimited previews of adverts to their client before exporting the HTML5 for inclusion in any publication, for all major publishing platforms.

“We noticed that although tablet publications were growing in popularity and receiving an increased share of the publishing market, the adverts within them were still originally designed for print,” said Jon Simcox, Managing Director. “This impacts on the advertiser’s brand and reduces the advert effectiveness. In the majority of cases, print ads on digital devices are difficult to read and an advert that has been designed to fit an A4 page, isn’t legible on a 5 inch smartphone. This is in addition to having little or no interaction, despite recent research that highlights how readers are far more likely to engage with interactive content.”

“Producing interactive adverts that could be viewed on any tablet or smartphone would normally take hours of a creative’s time and subsequently be too costly to include. We’ve solved this fundamental problem with AdBeetle. Adverts can be created from a single location and exported at the desired size, to any publisher.”

“A drastic reduction in design time makes it more affordable to include the more engaging adverts within digital titles.”

“This is great for consumers, who receive a better user-experience, the brands and publishers who are able to promote their message more effectively and the creatives who can now generate income by offering the design of interactive adverts.”

With AdBeetle, says Oppolis, the digital advertising industry can now benefit from a single usable format, safe in the knowledge that any advert produced, will work across any major publishing platform.
