Archant Lifestyle adds personal touch to media portfolio

Mike Sherrard has joined Archant Lifestyle as Managing Director of Exhibitions and Events to help develop a third route to market, alongside print and digital.

An events and exhibitions specialist, Mike’s portfolio will include the Wedding Link business (exhibition, fairs, websites and bride magazines), the France Show and the Kent Travel & Leisure show.

Archant Lifestyle MD, Miller Hogg, said: “Mike (pictured) has experience of launching many shows and exhibitions. He clearly brings a wealth of knowledge to allow us to develop our touch points and influence with both the public and our advertisers in markets we serve now and those yet to be identified.

“This move will enable Lifestyle to develop a three-pronged media approach to our markets - in print, in person, online. Mike will be responsible for the growth and development of this third channel opportunity and our increased engagement with both advertisers and audiences.

“Mike brings experience and leadership to our business and the people in his team. Most recently he was working with Clarion events running a mixed portfolio of exhibitions such as the Baby Show, Destinations and Classic Car,” said Miller.

Mike said: “Print and digital are areas in which Archant already has strength in depth in a wide range of different communities and the planned increased investment in live events and exhibitions will complement these existing strengths.

“As a media company, Archant works with communities defined by special interest and by geography and these developments will enhance our routes to market.”
