Bauer Publishing, the team behind UK puzzle magazines including Take a Crossword and the Eclipse franchise, has launched a mixed puzzle magazine containing brain training and traditional puzzles produced for Asda in partnership with Alzheimer’s Society.
Asda Brain Boost is a compilation of memory games, mindfulness pages and classic puzzles to engage both the left and right sides of the brain. The magazine aims to encourage readers to develop and improve their cognitive skills, with beat-the-clock challenges and puzzles with increasing levels of complexity.
Exclusively sold in Asda, every Asda Brain Boost sale, priced at £3.50 each, will see 52p donated to Alzheimer’s Society. This magazine represents an opportunity for readers to both boost their own mental fitness, and help to raise much-needed funds for Alzheimer’s Society’s fundamental work, says Bauer.
John Simmonds, publisher at Bauer Media said, “We are thrilled to be working with Asda and to be extending our relationship with Alzheimer’s Society, who do such important work in supporting those people who are affected by dementia.
“Combining left and right brain puzzles alongside more traditional puzzle types, ASDA Brain Boost offers readers something new – and with 52p from every copy sold going to Alzheimer’s Society, this magazine represents a real opportunity for readers to support people affected by dementia while looking after their own wellbeing.”
Kate Lee, chief executive Alzheimer’s Society said, “There are 900,000 people living with dementia in the UK and whoever you are, whatever you are going through, Alzheimer’s Society is here to help. We’re delighted to have the opportunity to raise some much-needed funds for our work in this fun and unique way. This magazine is a one-stop puzzle shop and with its variety of puzzles and difficulty ratings, there’s something for everyone.”
