BBC Magazines to launch in Taiwan

Lonely Planet Magazine and BBC Knowledge Magazine will soon both be available in Taiwan following an international licensing deal between BBC Worldwide and Cite Publishing Ltd.

Lonely Planet Magazine on 1 August and BBC Knowledge Magazine will follow a month later on 1 September.

The magazines will be released monthly, with Lonely Planet Magazine costing NT169 and BBC Knowledge Magazine costing NT220, and each will feature their own local content. Ku Ya-Sui and Ho Wei-Yi will edit Lonely Planet Magazine, while Ku Ya-Sui and Lin Hui-Wen will edit BBC Knowledge Magazine. 

Cite Publishing said of the new deal: “We’re delighted to be working with BBC Magazines for the first time. It’s really exciting to be producing local versions of Lonely Planet Magazine and BBC Knowledge Magazine in Taiwan, and by building the Lonely Planet international community, we’re looking forward to taking a small part of Taiwan to the rest of the world.”
