Gareth Thomas: “We’ve loved working with Uber Eats for a second year, building a strong long-term relationship.”

Time Out, a global brand that aims to inspire and enable people to experience the best of the city, has announced it is hosting its Big Dish Energy Live event for the second year running in London, in partnership with Uber Eats.

Following the success of Big Dish Energy Live in 2023, Time Out says the event is returning with more vendors, each representing the winning ‘Flavour of the Month’ dishes across six food themes, as voted for by Time Out’s audience over the past few months.

Big Dish Energy Live is taking place on Saturday 29th June 2024 at Hackney Bridge, in Hackney Wick. Tickets are priced at £15 which includes all six dishes per person, and are available to buy via timeout.com. There are three 2.5 hour sessions throughout the day at 12.30-3pm, 4-6.30pm and 7.30-10pm.

The vendors and dishes on offer at the event will be: truffle hash browns from Eggslut, Margherita Genuina from Zia Lucia, hot halloumi fries from Smashing Plates, Lamb Karahi from Lahore Karahi, Hong Kong French toast from HOKO and acai bowl from Portobello Juice.

Time Out says the event will be a grand finale celebration of a bespoke 360-degree campaign developed and delivered by Time Out’s Creative Solutions team for Uber Eats, giving foodies a taste of London’s favourite dishes. With a goal of raising awareness of the diverse restaurant offering available on Uber Eats and to generate delivery demand for its restaurant partners, the campaign featured branded content across Time Out’s digital platforms including website, social, newsletters and video, all complemented by this live event.

Gareth Thomas, director of strategic client partnerships at Time Out said: “We’ve loved working with Uber Eats for a second year, building a strong long-term relationship. Our campaign enables Uber Eats to connect directly with Time Out’s experience-hungry audience via branded content across all of our digital channels, driving awareness whilst also putting a spotlight on key restaurants in London, and finally quite literally showing people how to taste the best of the city with Uber Eats at our live event on 29th June in Hackney.”

Maya Gallego Spiers, head of marketing UKI at Uber and Uber Eats commented: “London has one of the most diverse and vibrant restaurant scenes in the world. We’re thrilled to be teaming up with Time Out again to bring our amazing local partners together at Big Dish Energy Live, showcasing the true breadth of cuisines on Uber Eats”.
