Current CPI editor Josh Budd moves up to the role of CRN editor, and CPI’s multimedia editor Nima Green is elevated to the brand’s editor role. Both appointments are effective from January 1, 2021.
The double promotion comes as CRN and CPI’s audience of channel professionals begins to size up a post-Covid recovery and looks to tap into accelerating digital transformation opportunities, says Incisive Media, the publishers.
“I’m excited to be joining CRN at such a pivotal time for the industry,” Budd said. “The channel is about to kickstart its Covid recovery, sparking challenges and opportunities in equal measure. There will be winners, and losers. More than ever before, UK channel professionals will need a fresh, trustworthy source of market intelligence to help them seize the opportunities ahead of them.”
Green added: “I look forward to leading the CPI brand at this critical juncture for the industry. It is an exciting time to be covering the channel, with emerging trends such as digital transformation, AI, IoT and sustainable IT set to spark unrivalled opportunities for resellers and MSPs next year and beyond.”
CPI was launched as a global sister title to CRN at the start of 2019. Head of Channel Matt Dalton said: “In a short period, Josh and Nima have established CPI as a trusted source of news, features, analysis and events for European and global channel executives. 2021 could be the most exciting year in CRN and Channel Partner Insight’s history as we seek new ways to engage with our audience in the new ‘hybrid’ world of digital and events. In Josh and Nima, we have two very capable and talented journalists who can lead those endeavours.”
